Lauren P. Shannon
Lauren Shannon joined Nixon Shefrin Hensen Ogburn in 2014 and practices primarily in the area of construction defect litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked for a prestigious law firm in Chicago, Illinois, where she represented construction professionals and sureties in defense of contractual, surety bond, and mechanics’ liens claims. Lauren also served for several years as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, gaining valuable experience with municipal law and regulation, as well as real property issues.
Lauren is licensed in Colorado and Illinois and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Lauren received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2008 and her Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan in 2005. During law school, Lauren served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and served on the executive board of the Environmental Law Society.
Outside of the office, Lauren’s interests include running, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and young son.
