Lauren P. Shannon
Lauren Shannon joined Nixon Shefrin Ogburn Drew in 2014 and practices primarily in the areas of construction defect and homeowners association litigation. Lauren also has extensive experience defending premises liability, personal injury, and employment claims before state and federal courts and regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren practiced at a boutique law firm in Chicago, Illinois where she represented construction professionals and sureties in defense of contractual, surety bond, and mechanics’ liens claims. Lauren also served for several years as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, gaining valuable experience with municipal law and regulation, as well as real property issues.
Lauren is licensed in Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. Lauren received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2008 with Order of the Coif distinction, and her Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan in 2005. During law school, Lauren served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and served on the executive board of the Environmental Law Society.
