Nicholas J. Hancock
Nicholas Hancock joined Nixon Shefrin Hensen Ogburn in 2018. Nick currently practices in a variety of civil litigation areas, with a focus on construction defect litigation, healthcare litigation including the defense of physicians, nurses and healthcare institutions, and general insurance defense. Prior to joining the firm, Nick clerked for the Honorable Judge Todd Taylor in the 19th Judicial District of Colorado.
Nick obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and his law degree from the University of Colorado. During law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy & Environmental Law Review. He was an intern in the Appellate Division of the Denver District Attorney’s Office and an in-house extern at UCHealth in Aurora. Nick worked his way through law school as a part-time nurse at a Denver hospital.
Before becoming an attorney, Nick served in the U.S. Army as a medic and nurse. His service experience brings a unique perspective to the firm that ultimately benefits its clients.
Nick is licensed in Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, making music, playing hockey, and being in the outdoors.
