Nixon Shefrin’s attorneys have extensive experience representing commercial and residential common interest communities, homeowner associations (HOAs), property management companies and master associations. We assist these clients in a wide variety of matters by acting as general counsel and in litigation involving assessment collection and covenant enforcement. Our representation includes judicial foreclosures and sheriff’s sales, evictions, amendments to governing documents, annexations, issues regarding insurance and vendor contracts and representation in bankruptcy court, among other things.
Our goal is to provide aggressive representation to bring the rate of delinquent assessments down by striving to collect not only the delinquent assessments but also all attorney fees and costs incurred by the Association quickly and efficiently. We are a member of and active in the Community Associations Institute and recognize the importance of staying informed about the changing legal landscape faced by Colorado’s community associations today.
